Fire in Glenview
Before and after photos of the work SERVPRO of Glenview performed on a Glenview home that had a residential fire.
You can see the smoke damage on the walls and tiles of this home's bathroom. Unfortunately, the damage was not just the visible soot, which could often be cleaned off.
The entire bathroom, and much of the home, needed to be gutted entirely, down to the studs. The insulation in between the wall cavities was either damaged from the water firefighters used to put out the fire, or the insulation had absorbed so much of the smoke that removing the odor with our air scrubbers was not possible. The only recourse was to remove the insulation, which meant removing the walls.
