Fire in Morton Grove
These before and after photos are of the clean up and restoration of a home in Morton Grove after a fire. The fire started in the basement and the flames were extinguished rather quickly. The thick black smoke was able to travel through the rest of the home causing Soot Tags.
Soot Tags appear after a fire in homes and are commonly thought to be soot covered spider webs. This is not the case. The soot travels throughout the structure and forms into chains called soot tags. The proper removal of smoke and soot is vital for the structure. We wiped down the soot, and set up hydroxyl generators to eliminate the foul smelling odor caused by the smoke.
